Raw materials for diamond tools

Micron, lapping and PCD powders for manufacturing cut-off wheels, milling cutters and grinding heads. Matching to your bonds and sintering modes.

Problems and our solutions

Typical problems

  • Unstable raw material quality
  • Expensive imports
  • Long delivery times

How we solve it

  • Trial batch from 1 kg + batch on request
  • Stable grit from batch to batch
  • State lab protocol on request + bond matching

Technical details: diamond tooling

Diamond tool manufacturing (inserts, mills, drills, wheels) imposes special requirements on micron powder: grains must have high compressive strength, stable shape and narrow size distribution. These parameters directly determine tool life and finished surface quality.

Recommended grit sizes

  • W40 – W28 — rough grinding and forming of diamond cutting edge, high material removal
  • W20 – W14 — finish grinding, surface preparation before lapping
  • W10 – W5 — lapping and polishing of cutting edge, mirror finish
  • W3.5 – W1 — superfinish, nanometer-level finish for precision tools

Quality control

Every batch passes particle size distribution control (D50, D90), magnetic inclusion content and Fe+Ni+Co impurity testing. Official Chinese state lab reports available on request. For serial tool production, batch-to-batch consistency is critical — we ensure it through fixed partner factories and incoming inspection of every supply.
