STONE WORKING
AND CONSTRUCTION

Polishing granite, marble, agglomerate

Diamond powders and suspensions for grinding and polishing stone: finish surface quality without burn marks, stable abrasive consumption, works on any bond.

Problems and our solutions

Typical problems

  • Burn marks and scratches on granite
  • Unstable abrasive consumption
  • Expensive imported tools

How we solve it

  • Grit selection matched to the processing stage
  • Suspensions with oversized-particle control
  • Powders matched to your bonds and equipment

Technical details: stone processing

Natural stone processing (granite, marble, quartzite, onyx) requires diamond tools with optimal balance between cutting speed and tool life. For slab cutting, diamond blades with coarse grit are used; for polishing, flexible wheels and polishing heads with micron powder of progressively finer grit.

Recommended grit sizes

  • W60 – W40 — rough grinding after cutting, slab surface leveling
  • W28 – W20 — medium grinding, removing coarse wheel scratches
  • W14 – W7 — fine grinding and pre-polishing, gloss preparation
  • W5 – W2.5 — final polishing, mirror gloss for marble and granite

Supply specifics

For stone processing, grain shape consistency is critical: overly sharp grains scratch marble, overly rounded grains reduce polishing speed. Our micron powder has controlled shape (near-spherical for polishing operations) and stable batch-to-batch D50. For large operations, we offer batches from 1 kg with volume-based tiered pricing.
