Technical details: mining & drilling

Diamond tools for mining (drill bits, roller cones, wire saws) operate in extreme conditions: high loads, abrasive wear, thermal shock. Manufacturing such tools requires diamond powder with high thermal stability (up to 850 °C) and compressive strength, since PCD sintering occurs at high temperature and pressure.

Recommended grit sizes

• 40/45 – 20/25 mesh — coarse grit for drill bits and cutting tools, high penetration rate
• W60 – W40 — micron powder for drill bit matrix impregnation, uniform wear
• W28 – W14 — grinding and sharpening of cutting tools after use
• PCD-grade powder — for manufacturing PCD cutters and drill bit inserts

Supply reliability

Mining requires stable supply: stopping a drilling operation due to lack of diamond tools is expensive. DIAMTECH works with multiple partner factories in global diamond production & export hub, guaranteeing no shortage and the ability to quickly redirect orders to another factory during peak demand. For regular customers, we offer batch allocation and long-term fixed-price contracts.
