Metal bond diamond wheel

We have collected the 15 most common questions asked by Russian customers during first contact and ongoing cooperation. If you did not find an answer to your question, write to us — we will respond within 24 hours.

Order and samples

Q1: What is the minimum order?

Minimum order is 1 kg (5000 carats). This is the standard volume for industrial use. For testing, a trial batch from 1 kg is available in any grain size.

Q2: Can I test the powder before a bulk order?

We do not ship samples: a small parcel can only go by air, and the shipping cost of one such parcel is comparable to the value of the sample itself. That is why testing starts at the minimum batch — 1 kg: the goods value covers the logistics. Each trial batch comes with a report (particle size, Fe+Ni+Co) so the material can be judged by data.

Q3: What are the shipping times?

Standard grain sizes W5, W10, W20 are in stock — shipping within 48 hours after payment. Non-standard grain sizes are produced in 3-7 working days. Delivery to Russia — 7-14 working days by air freight door-to-door.

Payment and documents

Q4: What payment methods are available?

Main method — bank transfer (TT). Terms: 30% prepayment to start production, remaining 70% before shipping. For regular customers with order history, individual terms are possible. All payments are accompanied by official invoice.

Q5: Do you provide quality certificates?

Yes, every batch comes with a quality certificate indicating: grain size (Malvern laser granulometer data), purity (at least 99.9%), magnetic impurities, moisture and morphology (SEM). On request, we provide laser granulometry report in PDF format. For batches requiring official certification, testing at Chinese national centers can be arranged (paid separately, 3-5 days).

Quality and guarantees

Q6: What if the powder does not meet specifications?

We guarantee every batch meets stated specifications. Upon receipt you can perform incoming inspection. If parameters do not match the quality certificate (based on independent lab results), we replace the batch free of charge or refund payment. To speed up resolution, we recommend keeping unopened packaging and providing test results.

Q7: How do you ensure batch-to-batch quality stability?

Stability is our priority. We use raw materials from verified suppliers in the Zhecheng cluster, apply a standardized process (acid treatment → magnetic separation → water washing → drying), and test every batch on Malvern laser granulometer. For regular customers, we can lock a specific raw material supplier and process parameters, ensuring minimal batch-to-batch variation.

Storage and use

Q8: How to store diamond micron powder?

Store in sealed packaging in a dry room at 5-35°C and relative humidity not exceeding 70%. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources. Shelf life — 3 years from manufacturing date under proper conditions. After opening, use within 6 months.

Q9: Can different grain sizes be mixed?

Yes, mixing different grain sizes is a common practice to optimize removal rate and surface finish. For example, W10+W5 blend provides good productivity and high finish. We can produce a custom blend to your specification (3-5 days, MOQ 1kg). When mixing yourself, mix thoroughly in a sealed container for at least 30 minutes.

Q10: Which grain size do I need?

Grain size selection depends on material and operation. General recommendations: PCD sintering — W5-W20, carbide sharpening — W5-W40, optical polishing — W1-W5, stone processing — W10-W60, ceramic processing — W5-W20. If unsure, start with a trial batch of 1 kg in the most likely fraction and test it on your equipment. Our specialists can also recommend based on your process description.

Practical tip

For a first purchase we recommend a trial batch from 1 kg: test the fraction on your equipment before a bulk order. Every trial batch comes with a report (particle size, Fe+Ni+Co). Standard W5/W10/W20 fractions are always in stock — ships within 48 hours.

Delivery, Packaging and Documents

Q11: How is the powder packaged?

Standard packaging is sealed plastic jars or foil bags of 1 kg, placed in a carton. Trial batches from 1 kg are packed in the same sealed jars. Each unit carries a label with fraction, batch number, production date and weight. For regular large orders, packaging can be tailored to your needs, such as multi-layer bags with an inner polyethylene liner.

Q12: What documents are needed to import into Russia?

For customs clearance we provide the invoice, packing list and quality certificate. On request we prepare commercial documents in English. The HS code and duty rate are best confirmed with your broker, as they depend on the application and delivery form. We help state the product name, fraction and specifications correctly on the invoice to speed up customs clearance.

Reading Documentation and Material Choice

Q13: What do D10, D50 and D90 on the certificate mean?

These are control points of the particle size distribution measured on a laser granulometer. D50 is the median size that splits particle volume in half; D10 is the size below which 10% of particles lie; D90 the size below which 90% lie. The narrower the spread between D10 and D90, the more uniform the fraction. For precision processing it is especially important that the upper bound D90 contains no oversize particles that could scratch a critical part. Particle size analysis follows ISO 13320:2020.

Q14: Natural vs synthetic powder?

We supply synthetic (manufactured) diamond micron powder. It is consistent in properties, cost-effective and independent of mining. Natural diamond is pricier and less stable in fraction and grain shape. For industrial processing, synthetic powder is almost always preferable because it lets you reproduce the process batch to batch and plan production without raw-material shortage risk.

Q15: Can you make a non-standard fraction or blend?

Yes, non-standard fractions and blends are made to order in 3–7 days from 1 kg. We can narrow the particle-size range, change the fraction ratio in a blend, or tailor grain shape to your operation. For regular volumes we lock the recipe and control parameters so every shipment stays identical.

If your question is not on this list, describe the task, workpiece material, desired grain size and required volume — we will prepare a quotation and, if needed, a technology recommendation. This approach shortens correspondence and gets you to batch trials faster.

How We Work Together

First contact usually takes one cycle. You describe the workpiece, operation and desired roughness; we propose the fraction and grade. You then receive a trial batch from 1 kg and run bench trials on your equipment. If the result is good, a trial bulk order from 1 kg is placed: common fractions ship from stock in 48 hours, special ones in 3–7 days. After the first shipments we lock the recipe and raw material for you, so every later lot reproduces the proven process. This order lowers risk and lets you scale volumes without stopping production.
